Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions represent a contract between:  

the Customer (person or company) 

and:  

Susan Harwood t/a Squeaky Clean & Shiny Cleaning Services 

The Customer agrees that any use of Squeaky Clean & Shiny Cleaning services, including placing an order for cleaning services by telephone, email, website forms shall constitute the Customer’s acceptance of our Terms & Conditions.  

1. Our Fees 

When calculating our fee Squeaky Clean & Shiny Cleaning Services uses the UK average room sizes. Should the Customer’s original requirements change or upon inspection of the property by a member of our team we reserve the right to amend the initial quotation.  

2. Access into the Property

It is essential that where the cleaning will be carried out the Customer ensures that our cleaner(s) is(are) provided with running hot/cold water and electricity. There will be non-refundable fee of £25 should these not be provided. It is the Customer's responsible to ensure that our cleaner(s) has(have) access to their property at the scheduled time. Keys that are provided must open and close all locks easily. Squeaky Clean & Shiny Cleaning Services is not liable for any damage to keys or locks.  The Customer will incur a non-refundable fee that will be equal to the amount of the scheduled cleaning service should the Customer fail to provide access to the property. 

3. Payment 

The Customer agrees that immediate payment will be made on the completion of the work, unless agreed in writing by Squeaky Clean & Shiny Cleaning Services. Cash payment will be made to the cleaner(s) for the total of the scheduled cleaning before the cleaner(s) departs the Customer's property.  A bank transfer that is agreed must be made 24 hours in advance to our bank account before the the scheduled cleaning. Squeaky Clean & Shiny Cleaning reserves the right to cancel a cleaning service on the failure to receive the bank transfer in advance. 

4. Cancellations 

The Customer must give at least 24 hours prior notice to cancel a scheduled cleaning service before the scheduled date of the cleaning. There will be a non-refundable fee that will be equivalent to the amount of the scheduled cleaning service for a cancellation made that is less than 24 hours before the scheduled cleaning.  We reserve the right to refuse cleaning that we deem hazardous and causes a health & safety risk to our cleaner(s).  Should an accident or unexpected circumstance befall our cleaner(s), Squeaky Clean & Shiny has the right to reschedule or cancel the service. 

5. Claims 

  1. Once the cleaning service commences or has been carried out no refund claims will be considered unless 5.2 of the Terms & Conditions is carried out
  2. Unless written notice detailing the complaint is received within 24 hours of the work being completed, all services shall be deemed to have been carried out to the satisfaction of the Customer. Any complaint will be fully investigated and we will try to resolve any cleaning issues to the satisfaction of the Customer, or to a reasonable standard. 
  3. The Customer agrees they will grant our cleaner(s) access to their property to inspect and re-clean any disputed areas/items before engaging a third party to carry out this services.
  4. To rectify a cleaning issue, Squeaky Clean & Shiny Cleaning Services may need to gain entry to the property within 24 hours. 
  5. Squeaky Clean & Shiny Cleaning cleaner(s) will make every effort to ensure not to break items.  However, if an accident does occur we will try to replace the item like for like, but this cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, we advise Customers that all irreplaceable items whether this be monetarily or of sentimentally valuable be stored away safely and/or not to be cleaned by our cleaner(s). 
  6. Any damage proven to have been caused by us, we will try our very best to repair the damage.  
  7. If a damaged item that cannot be repaired, Squeaky Clean & Shiny Cleaning Services will make good the situation by offering the Customer the present actual monetary value of the item as a replacement. 
  8. Squeaky Clean & Shiny Cleaning Services cannot be held accountable for existing damage to a Customer's property in the form of old stains/scratches/spillages/burns etc that cannot be cleaned or removed using the industry standard cleaning methods. 
  9. Squeaky Clean & Shiny Cleaning Services will endeavour to make sure your appliance(s) is(are) cleaned to a high standard. However, if your appliance(s) has(have) not been cleaned for some while or since they were purchased we cannot be held responsible for ingrained dirt/grime that cannot be removed using industry standard cleaning methods.  
  10. On condition that the wall(s) is(are) painted with a waterproof based paint our cleaner(s) will clean and wipe painted wall(s). We cannot be held responsible for existing damage to Customer wall(s) in the form of old marks etc that cannot be cleaned or removed using the industry standard cleaning methods. 
  11. Squeaky Clean & Shiny Cleaning Services cannot guarantee our End of Tenancy Cleaning service should furniture or tenant(s) be present in the property at the time of the cleaning. 
  12. We cannot be held responsible, if a Customer has pet(s) residing at their property, for any mess caused by the animal after our cleaner(s) has(have) completed the cleaning and departed the premises. 

6. Cleaning Products 

Squeaky Clean & Shiny Cleaning Services do not provide product or equipment.  However, we can provide all cleaning products on request subject to an additional surcharge. 

7. Introduction to our Services 

The "Introduction to our services” forms part of our Terms & Conditions. 

8. Our Guarantee 

Squeaky Clean & Shiny Cleaning Services has built its business and reputation by providing the highest standard of cleaning service to its Customers. We guarantee that once the cleaning has been carried out if the Customers is not satisfied with the cleaning standard of a particular area, then we will come back to the Customers property free of charge and will re-clean that particular area.
